spinning adventures
Chris and I bought a great big bag of miscellaneous wool top. Chris spun his into a gigantic mega-skein of yarn; I decided to do something different with mine. I stuffed some of it into a baking pan full of hot water, and squirted different colors of kool-aid over it. (when wool is hot enough, it will absorb dye almost immediately). I took the wool out of the pan and repeated the process with more wool, using different colors of kool-aid. I ended up with some hot flaming red-orange wool, some neon green and blue wool, and various shades of pinks and purples. I also left some white wool undyed.
I ripped up the top into small sections, and put them all in a bag together.

Then I spun it, choosing colors randomly from the bag:

Here it is, spun, navajo-plied, and skeined.
